Field names need validation, entities not being deleted

It seems that there is absolutely no validation done on field names. It will allow you to create null field names and multiple word names, etc, and there is no obvious way to make corrections if you make a mistake.

This wouldn't be so bad if you could just delete the incorrect entity and start over, but for some reason I have not been able to delete any errors. Sometimes it will appear that the entity is deleted, only to have it pop back up a few minutes later. Other times, the delete button will just do nothing at all.

I had this issue in both Google Chrome and Firefox 3.5.4.

I've had something similar. Seems that when an entity (or field?) goes, the whole app becomes unresponsive to most changes and gives the unable to communicate with the server error.

Sorry for the slow resposne - there must be a switch to turn on email notifications around here somewhere.

I'll be addressing these issues any day now - will let you know.

To be clear, in the second paragraph I'm using the word "entities"
loosely. As I'm using it, it applies to both field names and
databases. This is probably not the correct usage. :-)
